The Bundeswehr Information Technology Command ( KdoITBw ) was created as part of a celebratory handover appeals on June 30, 2017 by renaming the Bundeswehr Command Support Command . At the same time, the new command was subordinated to the Cyber and Information Room Command.

history
The former FüUStgKdoBw was essentially set up from parts of the command support department / G6 of the former armed forces support command . Furthermore, further technical responsibilities for individual tasks from the Armed Forces Office , the former Federal Office for Information Management and Information Technology of the Bundeswehr and the military organizational areas as well as the area of further development of the command support school of the Bundeswehr were combined and integrated in the FüUstgKdoBw. In addition to the logistics command of the Bundeswehr and the territorial tasks command of the Bundeswehr , the command support command of the Bundeswehr was one of three new SKB capability commands set up in 2013 . On June 30, 2017, as part of a solemn roll call, the subordination to the Cyber and Information Room Command took place while at the same time renaming to the Bundeswehr Information Technology Command.
Uniform and badge
The soldiers from the army branch within the command area of the KdoITBw have been wearing the new association badge (sleeve badge) of the KdoITBw since December 2013 . The new association badge was approved by the Federal President as a change to the uniform. The background of the coat of arms has a yellow background and is bordered with a silver-black braided cord. The federal eagle has a black, red gold background on a golden central shield.
