Fabian Hörl (born July 26, 1992 ) is an Austrian biathlete .

Fabian Hörl lives in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer and belongs to a biathlon family. He has been involved in the sport since he was six and has been sponsored by the Austrian Ski Association since 2010 . He starts for HSV Saalfelden and attended the Saalfelden ski school . From 2010 to 2013 he took part in the Junior World Championships four times in a row . In 2010 he finished 22nd in the sprint and sixth in the relay race in Torsby . These were his best results to date. Hörl was most successful in 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě . In the sprint he was tenth, 17th in the pursuit, 13th in the individual and with Alexander Jakob and Thomas Haumer he won the bronze medal in the relay race. After less good results in 2012 in Kontiolahti , Hörl again achieved top ten results in 2013 in Obertilliach with tenth in the sprint and eighth in the pursuit. He was also 17th in the individual. In the junior races of the European Championships , Hörl achieved the best place in 2011 in Ridnaun, 26th of the individual; In 2012 he was 24th and 20th in sprint and pursuit in Osrblie . In 2013 he missed a medal against Benjamin Plaickner by just one place in Bansko , finishing fourth in the individual . For men, Hörl made his debut in the IBU Cup at the start of the 2013/14 season in Idre and was 58th and 71st in sprint races.
