Christ-Emmanuel Faitout Maouassa (born July 6, 1998 in Villepinte ) is a French football player .
Career
society
Maouassa began his career at Val D'Argenteuil ASC . Between 2010 and 2013 he played for RFC Argenteuil . In 2013 he joined the AS Nancy youth team . In February 2015, he made his debut for the Nancy B team in the fifth-highest French division when he came on as a substitute for Victor Mayard on matchday 12 of the 2014/15 season against Sarreguemines FC in the 70th minute.
He made his Ligue 2 debut for the Nancy professionals in August 2015 when he was brought into play for Maurice Dalé in the 60th minute against Tours FC on matchday one of the 2015/16 season . In the same month he scored his first goal in the French second division in a 2-2 draw against Olympique Nîmes . At the end of the season, he rose to Ligue 1 with Nancy . By the end of the season he made four appearances in Ligue 2.
After promotion, he made his Ligue 1 debut in October 2016 when he was in the starting line-up against OSC Lille on matchday eight of the 2016/17 season and was replaced by Issiar Dia in the 54th minute . Maouassa scored his first goal in the top French division in March 2017 in a 3-2 defeat against FC Lorient . At the end of the season, he went back to Ligue 2 with Nancy.
He then moved to the first division club Stade Rennes for the 2017/18 season . In his first season with Rennes, he played 19 games in Ligue 1, in which he went without a hit. In August 2018 it was awarded to league competitor Olympique Nîmes.
National team
Maouassa played for a French youth national team for the first time in December 2014. With the U-17 selection , he became European champion in 2015 and also took part in the World Cup in the same year , where France was eliminated in the second round.
He also won the European Championship with the U-19 team in 2016 . With the U-20 selection , he took part in the 2017 World Cup and reached the round of 16 with his team.
