Fanni Fetzer

Fanni Fetzer (born October 15, 1974 in Chur ) is a Swiss author , curator and museum director . She lives in Zurich and Lucerne .

Life

Fanni Fetzer studied political science , folklore and social and economic history at the University of Zurich , graduating in 2003 with a licentiate (Lic. Phil.) And in 2011 a Master of Advanced Studies in cultural management at the University of Basel .

During her studies she worked for the cultural magazine «du» , where she worked as an editor until 2004. Afterwards he worked at the Kunstmuseum Thun and the Kunsthaus Langenthal . Fanni Fetzer has been the director of the Kunstmuseum Luzern since October 1st, 2011. In 2019 she celebrated her greatest success to date with the exhibition “ Turner . The sea and the Alps ».

Fanni Fetzer is a member of the Association Internationale des Critiques d'Art (AICA), the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art (IKT), the International Council of Museums (ICOM), the Association of Art Historians in Switzerland (VKKS), of the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art (CIMAM), the Association of Swiss Institutions for Contemporary Art (VSIZK) and President of the Association of Swiss Art Museums (VSK / AMAS).
