Fasano is a southern Italian city with 39,566 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Apulia and belongs to the province of Brindisi .
The city has an area of 128 km². The average height is 118 m slm
location
The city of Fasano is located 50 kilometers southeast of Bari and 50 kilometers northwest of Brindisi , practically exactly half the distance between these two southern Italian port cities. The port city of Taranto , located on the Gulf of the same name, is 45 kilometers south. Seen from Rome , Fasano is 400 kilometers to the southeast as the crow flies. The distance from the center of the city to the coast on the Adriatic with the small port towns of Savelletri and Torre Canne is between 6 and 10 kilometers.
The neighboring municipalities are Alberobello ( BA ), Cisternino , Locorotondo ( BA ), Monopoli ( BA ) and Ostuni .
Infrastructure
The Europastraße 55 runs directly on the outskirts . An at least partially well-developed national road connection leads south to Taranto.
The city has a station about three kilometers outside of the Ancona – Lecce railway line .
International airports are located near the cities of Bari and Brindisi. From here there are also ferry connections to Croatia , Albania and Greece, among others .

The small seaside resorts on the coast are not only visited by local beach holidaymakers, but now also by foreign tourists.
In the immediate vicinity of the neighboring municipality of Alberobello, there are numerous of the trulli known for Apulia in the wine-growing areas .
