The album was advertised by the FURTour 2014 and the There Is No Risk to the Public Tour 2015, with a total of 17 concerts. background
The title “ Fascination Space” on the album has no deeper meaning and can be justified by the holiday tendency towards weird titles. In an interview with Markus Kavka , he refers to the title of his songbook The Return of the Skateboard Legend , which also has no deeper meaning. Since the term space sounds older, he preferred it to the term space .
The artwork describes a "returning hero" and is only provided with football motifs. The cover shows Farin Urlaub as a football player with player number 76, in the background half-clad teammates who are lying on the floor as if overrun. The number 76 refers to 1976 , when punk rock was created by bands like The Ramones and Sex Pistols .
Compared to previous albums, the style of the album is more characterized by rock and metal pieces, as Urlaub, as he said in an interview with laut.de , “wanted to hear songs that crack live”. But ska and pop are also represented again.
The song heart? Verloren was released on September 19, 2014 as a pre-release single and deals with a patient who suffers from polyamory and therefore has problems in contact with women. The song reached number 12 in Germany and number 49 in Austria. On the B-side is the pop piece Wahnsinn , as well as the system-critical song The Perfect Dictatorship . It was created through holiday impressions in dictatorships, as well as under the influence of the novels 1984 and Brave New World . The video clip to heart? Lost was shot by Norbert Heitker . The second single was the pop piece AWG ; the abbreviation, as mentioned in the chorus, stands for everything will be fine . Here is the rock piece Rest Der Welt and the piece Babylon in Ska style on the B-side . AWG placed 32nd in Germany. The third single was the song iDisco and was released in April 2015. On the B-side is the rock piece What Crisis? , as well as the rather calm pop piece Himmel auf Erden . iDisco ranked 22nd in the German charts.
