Fist award 2019
The Faust Award 2019 , the 14th award of the German Theater Prize Der Faust , took place on November 9th at the Staatstheater Kassel and was hosted for the second time since 2008 by Wiebke Puls . The nominations were announced on September 12, 2019, and the Lifetime Achievement Prize was awarded to Roberto Ciulli .
A five-member jury named by the German Academy of Performing Arts and made up of the following academy members decided on the award winners : Jürgen Flügge , Regina Guhl, Peter Michalzik , Barbara Mundel and Sylvana Seddig.
The prize was funded in 2019 by the Hessian State Ministry for Science and Art, the City of Kassel , the Cultural Foundation of the States, the German Academy of Performing Arts and the German Stage Association. Cooperation partners were the Kasseler Sparkasse and the Deutsche Bühnenverein Landesverband Mitte, the event partner was the Staatstheater Kassel, media partners were 3sat and Die Deutsche Bühne .
