Felix Radinger (born February 12, 1988 ) is a German wrestler .

Career

Felix Radinger comes from Aschaffenburg- Schweinheim and started wrestling in 1993 at the age of five. He focuses on the Greco-Roman style. His home club is TSV Gailbach , in the Bundesliga he has so far competed for TKSV Bonn-Duisdorf , RWG Mömbris-Königshofen , TuS Adelhausen , KSV Ispringen and SC Kleinostheim . His trainer is Bernd Fröhlich . As an adult, the 1.85 meter tall athlete started in the middleweight and light heavyweight division . He is a student at the TU Darmstadt .

His first major successes at national level were winning the German junior championship in 2006, 2007 and 2008 in the middleweight division. In 2007 and 2008 he also started at two Junior European Championships and one Junior World Championship. The best placement he achieved was an 8th place at the 2008 European Junior Championships in Kosice in the middleweight division.

In 2009 Felix Radinger also took part in the German Senior Championship for the first time. He had to be content with a 10th place in the light heavyweight division. In the years 2010 to 2017 he always achieved a place on the podium at the German championships for seniors in the light heavyweight division. In 2010 he was third behind the Olympic champions Mirko Englich and Andreas Fix, in 2011 he was German runner- up behind Oliver Hassler , in 2012 he came back to third place behind Mirko Englich and Oliver Hassler and in 2013 he was again German runner-up behind Andreas Fix. In 2014 he was only narrowly defeated by Oliver Hassler in a thrilling final fight and was again runner-up.

In 2013 he was used at the European Championships in Tbilisi. He showed excellent fights in the light heavyweight division and came in a good 5th place after victories over Timo Antero Kallio , Finland and Laokratis Kessidis , Greece and defeats against Wladislaw Metodiew , Bulgaria and Mélonin Noumonvi , France.

Felix Radinger also took 5th place at the 2014 European Championships in Vantaa / Finland. In his first fight he defeated the Russian starter Musa Jewlojew , who had prevailed in the Russian European Championship elimination against the 2013 world champion Nikita Melnikow , on points. In his second fight he won over David Lengyel from Slovakia, then he lost to defending champion Artur Aleksanjan from Armenia just on points. Since Aleksanjan was European champion again, Felix Radinger was able to continue in the consolation round, in which he first won against Vladimir Vasilyev from Ukraine, but lost on points in the battle for a bronze medal against Marthin Hamlet Nielsen from Norway.
