criticism
On the occasion of the appearance of the first season, the series received positive reviews in German-language media. The film service, for example, rated her with three out of five possible stars and judged that she “combined her storylines in a dramaturgical way” “to create an equally exciting and current business crime drama about moral corruptibility in the course of incorporating the ' green economy ' into profit maximization strategies the ' global player ' ”. The critic of the Swiss Tages-Anzeiger judged the season to be gripping from the start, also because it was playing with Denmark's image, the series was "an enjoyable dismantling of the clean Danes". The “downer”, however, is that “the troubled and solitary investigators like Mads” are already known from earlier works in the Nordic Noir genre . In Der Spiegel , the author highlighted the series' “great strengths”: “to link the fates of its protagonists across milieus, from CEO to auto mechanic”.
