Franz Ehrke

Franz Ehrke (born September 20, 1921 in Prenzlau ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Ehrke was in a primary school in Swinoujscie and from 1936 to 1939 attended a business school in Szczecin . He initially trained as an industrial clerk . During the Second World War , he was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1941 and became a British prisoner of war .

From 1946 to 1960 he was a commercial clerk at BEWAG . He then became department head at the Deutsche Klassenlotterie Berlin , of which he was a board member from 1965 to 1984.

politics

Ehrke joined the SPD in 1949, and was particularly politically active in Spandau . In March 1955, he moved to Spandau district mayor Georg Ramin in the Berlin House of Representatives after. In 1977 Ehrke became parliamentary group chairman until he left parliament in June 1981 after 26 years.
