Franz Emans (born December 5, 1950 in Cologne ) is a former German football player .

Career

In 1966, Emans had participated as a youth player in the DFB student team in April and May in the two international student matches against England (1: 2/0: 1) alongside teammates Klaus Scheer and Jürgen Sobieray . In the senior sector, Emans played with Tasmania Berlin for two years in the Berlin Regional Football League . In his first season 1969/70 the striker met four times in 22 games in the opposing goal and Tas finished third. In his second season, 1970/71 , Emans won the championship in Berlin with Tasmania. To the superior title win, he contributed 31 goals in 27 league games. He finished second in the top scorer list behind Manfred Kipp with 38 goals and ahead of Norbert Stolzenburg with 27 goals. In the Bundesliga promotion round, he was used in all eight games against VfL Bochum, VfL Osnabrück, FK Pirmasens and Karlsruher SC and scored five goals. When a 3-0 home win against Pirmasens on June 6, 1971, Emans was a three-time goalscorer. The Tas master eleven included players such as goalkeeper Horst Grunenberg , Lothar Groß , Werner Ipta , Ivan Šangulin , Klaus Walleitner , Fred Hoff and Jonny Egbuono .

For the 1971/72 season he moved to the Bundesliga for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . RWO tried to compensate for the departures of Franz Krauthausen and Wolfgang Sühnholz to FC Bayern Munich and Dieter Brozulat to Munich in 1860 by adding several players. In addition to Emans, Tas colleagues Fred Hoff, Ulrich Kallius , Willi Mumme , Bernd Hoffmann , Gerd Wörmer , Ludwig Denz , Herbert Liedtke and, from his own youth, Franz-Josef Tenhagen were signed up. For Oberhausen he made his debut on the fifth match day, September 4, 1971, when he was substituted on for Mumme by coach Günter Brocker in the away game against Hannover 96 . On October 12, Emans scored his first Bundesliga goal; he brought the shamrocks 1-0 lead in the home game against Borussia Dortmund in the 54th minute. Oberhausen finished the season with top performers Friedhelm Dick , Reiner Hollmann and Uwe Kliemann in 15th place. Emans played his ninth and last Bundesliga game on May 6, 1972 in a 5-2 home win against Hertha BSC. For the 1972/73 season he joined SV Arminia Hannover in the North Regional Football League .

With the blues from the stadium at Bischofsholer Damm , he started the season on July 30, 1972 with a 2-2 away draw at Bremerhaven 93. He completed at the side of goalkeeper Klaus-Peter Achtert and the Arminia record player in the regional league, Meinhardt Messner , 21 league games in which he scored three goals when reaching ninth place. Since he was injured only three missions in 1973/74, he ended his high-class career in the summer of 1974.
