Franz Ploner

Franz Ploner (born March 25, 1954 in Bolzano ) is a South Tyrolean doctor and politician.

biography

Ploner attended the elementary school in Laion , the middle school in Brixen and the humanistic high school at the Vinzentinum . He then studied medicine at the University of Innsbruck , where he obtained his doctorate in 1981 . In the following years he completed specialist and other training in the areas of anesthesia , resuscitation , laboratory diagnostics , hematology , cardiology and emergency medicine . From 1988 to 2000 he worked as an emergency doctor at the South Tyrol air ambulance and from 1991 to 2000 as a senior doctor for anesthesia and intensive care medicine at the Bressanone hospital. In 2000 he moved to the Sterzing Hospital as chief physician in the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine , which he has been medical director since 2002. In 2005 he obtained a Master of Science in health sciences at UMIT in Hall and in the same year another Master of Science in health care facility management at the University for Continuing Education in Krems . In 2006 he earned a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management at the University of Economics in Vienna , in 2010 a Master of Public Health at the Medical University in Graz .

In the state elections in 2018 , Ploner, as a candidate for the Köllensperger team, won a mandate for the South Tyrolean state parliament and, at the same time, the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol with 4563 preferential votes .
