The Team K (TK) is a party in South Tyrol . It was founded on July 10, 2018 by the South Tyrolean member of the state parliament Paul Köllensperger as Team Köllensperger , before it was renamed in October 2019.

history

Emergence

Köllensperger was elected to the South Tyrolean state parliament in 2013 as a candidate for the five-star movement (M5S) . In July 2018 - shortly before the end of the legislative period - Köllensperger left the five-star movement. As a reason for his departure, Köllensperger cited the insufficient interest of the national leadership of the M5S for the regional social conditions in South Tyrol. Specifically, Köllensperger had unsuccessfully called for a change in the national rules for the selection of list candidates, which would have made it more difficult to create a cross-language list of German, Italian and Ladin-speaking candidates.

South Tyrolean state election 2018

The Köllensperger team ran for the first time in the South Tyrolean state election in October 2018 and was able to win 15.2 percent of the votes and 6 of 35 state parliament mandates (and thus also 6 out of 70 mandates in the Regional Council Trentino-South Tyrol ). The five-star movement, for which Köllensperger was elected as the only mandate with 2.5 percent of the votes in 2013, defended its state parliament mandate with almost the same number of votes.

For the Köllensperger team, which ran for the most part with German-speaking candidates and was able to record large votes in the rural districts of Wipptal , Pustertal and Vinschgau , alongside top candidate Paul Köllensperger, the mandates Peter Faistnauer , Alex Ploner , Franz Ploner and Maria Elisabeth Rieder were appointed and Josef Unterholzner elected.

European elections 2019

In March 2019 the TK became an associated member of the European ALDE party . For the 2019 European elections , Renate Holzeisen stood for TK on the list of the liberal + Europe party . It reached 11.2% in South Tyrol, but with 3.1% in Italy it missed the 4% blocking clause and thus entry into the European Parliament.
