Gebrüder Moped is an Austrian cabaret duo founded by Franz Stanzl (born May 20, 1972 in Vienna ) and Martin Strecha-Derkics (born March 27, 1971 in Vienna).

history

The Moped brothers became known for their satirical image editing and humorous comments on the social media Facebook , Twitter and Instagram .

The duo presented their first cabaret program Gaga in 2008 at the Wiener Kabarett Niedermair . At the same time, the tour The Long Night of Cabaret started together with Pepi Hopf , Clemens Maria Schreiner and Gerhard Gradinger .

With the following programs Bist du Moped (2009), Jausengegner (2012), Männerversteher (2013), Tellerrandtango (2014) and Keine Angst (2017), they performed on numerous stages and venues across Austria. Since 2014 they have curated and moderated the series of events Cabaret Coalition in the Kulturhofkeller Villach. Five times a year the cabaret artists organize an evening together with two acts each. Since 2015, the Moped brothers have been holding the Parole charity event every year on Ash Wednesday in the backdrop of Vienna . A political Ash Wednesday in cabaret . As hosts of the satirical revue, you will guide you through the past year and ask around ten guests from different areas of public life (politics, journalism, culture) to take a seat at the stage get-togethers and enrich the evening with guest contributions.

In 2015 the Moped brothers published their first book What does the Chancellor actually do professionally? , Followed in 2018 Today Austria belongs to us and tomorrow the whole disc . The multimedia reading show for the book (premiered in the Rabenhof Theater in Vienna ) led across Austria.

Every two years, the Moped brothers have been playing the satirical review of the year Das war 20xx together with Gerald Fleischhacker , Guido Tartarotti , Verena Scheitz and Leo Lukas since 2016 at the end of the year ! ... a year in the rearview mirror .

The Moped brothers work as authors for numerous TV productions (including Willkommen Österreich and Bist du deppert) and have written columns and articles for various media and institutions (including SOS Mitmensch , Wiener Sport-Club , First Vienna Football Club 1894 , Falter , Der Standard ).
