The Fred Biletnikoff Award is a prize for the best wide receiver in college football . It has been awarded by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. (TQCF) since 1994 . The award was named after Fred Biletnikoff , who played for Florida State University in college and later played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Oakland Raiders . Any NCAA Division I player who has successfully caught a pass can be nominated for the award, but so far it has only been awarded to wide receivers. A jury consisting of 215 journalists, commentators and former players selects the winner - so no foundation member has a voting right.

The trophy consists of a 55 cm high golden figure, which is attached to a solid marble base, and weighs 25 kg. It was designed by Jeff Artz. Considered the largest and most beautiful trophy for a single player in college football, it is exhibited at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee , Florida and has won several awards for its design.
