Friedrich-Adolf Jahn (born May 7, 1935 in Münster ; † June 15, 2016 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

From 1982 to 1987 he was Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Regional Planning, Building and Urban Development and from 1987 to 1991 to the Federal Minister of Justice .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1955 in Münster, Jahn studied law and political science in Münster and Freiburg im Breisgau , which he completed in 1959 with the first state examination and in 1963 with the second state examination . In 1961 he received his doctorate as Dr. jur. at the University of Münster with the work legal entitlement in the event of violation of the duty to maintain safety on public roads . Jahn then worked as a research assistant at the University of Münster and in 1965 joined the government president of Münster as a government assessor. In 1967 he switched to the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia as a speaker until he became district director of the Münster district in 1969 . From 1969 to 1981 Jahn had a lectureship in public law at the University of Münster. From 1991 to 2002 he was full-time president at the head of the Central Association of German House, Apartment and Land Owners .

Private

Friedrich-Adolf Jahn was married and had three children. Jahn has been a member of the Catholic student associations Germania zu Münster and Neuenfels zu Freiburg since 1956, both in the KV and since 1981 honorary member of the Catholic student association AV Alsatia Münster in the CV .

Political party

Jahn had been a member of the CDU since 1971. From 1974 to 1985 he was chairman of the CDU in Münster, of which he was later appointed honorary chairman. From 1966 he was a deputy state chairman on the board of the medium-sized business association of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia .

MP

Jahn was a member of the German Bundestag from 1972 to 1994 . Here he was a member of the board of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group as chairman of the regional planning, building and urban planning working group from 1980 to October 4, 1982 and again from February 21, 1992 as chairman of the constitution working group .

Friedrich-Adolf Jahn has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Münster constituency .

Public offices

On October 4, 1982 Jahn was used as Parliamentary Secretary to the Federal Minister for Regional Planning, Building and Urban Development in the by Chancellor Helmut Kohl led government appointed. After the federal election in 1987 , he changed to the Federal Minister of Justice in the same function. After the federal election in 1990 , Jahn left the government on January 24, 1991.
