Friedrich Felix Furkel

Friedrich Felix Furkel (born on January 19, 1771 in Kirchen ; died on November 2, 1840 in Wetzlar ) was a German administrative lawyer and first district administrator in the Wetzlar district .

Life

From April 21, 1788, Furkel first studied theology and later law at the University of Giessen , where he was a member of the Landsmannschaften of the Rhinelander and Franconia as well as the Order of Harmonists . In 1798 he can be traced back to the county of Sayn-Altenkirchen as the Ansbach office secretary , and around 1813 he was judicial advisor and judicial officer of the Cleeberg district based in Usingen . After the reorganization of the administration in Prussia after the Congress of Vienna , he was appointed first district administrator in the Wetzlar district in 1816 (until 1822). From 1820 he also officiated as provisional district administrator of the Braunfels district , which was incorporated into the Wetzlar district in 1822.

With the highest cabinet order (AKO) of June 27, Furkel was retired on July 1, 1822.
