Walter Preissler

Walter Preißler (born April 8, 1915 in Buckwa near Falkenau , Bohemia ; † February 3, 2005 ) was a German lawyer and politician ( GB / BHE , GDP , CDU ).

Life

After graduating from the German School in Eger Preißler took a degree in law at the German University in Prague in which he at the local law school awarded the degree of Dr. jur. finished. He first worked at the Falkenau District Court and then worked as an advisor for social law. Since November 1, 1938 he was a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 6,608,246).

After the Second World War , Preißler moved to West Germany as an expellee and settled in Hesse . Here he worked in the field of elementary schooling. He also joined the Association of Expellees (BdV) and was later its district chairman in Wetzlar . From 1980 to 1989 he acted as federal chairman of the Confederation of Egerland .

At the beginning of the 1950s he was one of the co-founders of the GB / BHE in Wetzlar. He became a member of the GDP in May 1961, which in Hesse was renamed GDP / BHE in September 1962. From 1968 to 1972 he was Deputy Federal Chairman of the GDP. In 1972 he switched to the CDU.

Preißler was a member of the Wetzlar district council . He was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1954 until his resignation on March 9, 1955 and again from 1958 to 1966. He was initially the first district councilor and served from 1952 to 1955 as district administrator for the district of Wetzlar. From February 1955 to December 1962 he was State Secretary in the Interior Ministry of the State of Hesse .
