Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph Gottlieb Philipp von Fallois , from 1877 von Born-Fallois (born June 7, 1845 in Berlin , † March 31, 1913 in Bromberg ) was a Prussian officer , landowner and politician.

Life

origin

He came from a noble family in Lorraine and was the son of the later Prussian Lieutenant General Friedrich von Fallois (1801–1867) and his wife Marie, née Harrer (1822–1893).

Career

On April 19, 1864, Fallois came from the cadet corps as a second lieutenant in the 2nd Guard Regiment on foot of the Prussian Army . As such he took part in the war against Austria in 1866 , was promoted to Prime Lieutenant on September 16, 1870 and then fought with the regiment against France in 1870/71 . For his achievements in this war, Fallois was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class. After the peace treaty he acted as a regimental adjutant and was promoted to captain on May 18, 1876 and appointed chief of the 2nd company. He submitted his departure, which was granted to him on May 13, 1879 with a pension and permission to wear the regimental uniform. On August 18, 1895, he received yet the character as a Major .

After his departure, Fallois worked as a landlord on Sienno (Bromberg district), where he received the stud medal in 1892. From 1901 to 1913 he was chairman of the Poznan Province Chamber of Agriculture and member of the settlement commission .

From 1890 to 1893 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives as a member of the German Conservative Party (DkP) and from 1896 to 1913 a member of the Prussian Manor House . Born-Fallois was also a royal Prussian chamberlain .

family

Fallois married Clara von Berg (born July 28, 1854 in Berlin; † January 18, 1901 at Gut Sienno, district of Bromberg ), the daughter of Karl-Ludwig Graf von Berg-Schönfeld, Fideikommissherr, on June 1, 1877 in Berlin to Gut Schönfeld, and his wife Klara von Olszewska. Wilhelm von Born-Fallois and Fritz von Born-Fallois were their sons.

In his second marriage, he married the widowed Eva von Treskow (born March 23, 1869 at Wierzonka; † November 22, 1945 in Neustrelitz ) on March 19, 1903 at Gut Wierzonka (Posen province ), the daughter of the Prussian major Hugo von Treskow, Landowners on Wierzonka and Kowalski, and Angelika von Reiche from the Rozbitek family.

Friedrich von Fallois reached the Prussian name and coat of arms association as "von Born-Fallois" for himself and his descendants in Berlin on November 14, 1877 .
