Fuego (producer)

Fuego (* 1985 ) is a Grammy- nominated German music producer and songwriter who lives in Berlin and Los Angeles .

Fuego started his career with the album Aggro Ansage Nr. 4 , which was one of the few German hip-hop albums to be awarded the gold record . The album was a financial success in Germany. Fuego then produced for some of the great German hip-hop artists such as Sido , B-Tight and Aggro Berlin . He also composes music for German and US advertising for companies such as Ford , BMW , Audi , BET and Capri-Sonne .

Fuego's big breakthrough in the US came in 2009 with the release of the number one hit Whatcha Say , which he co-produced with JR Rotem for American singer Jason Derulo . Whatcha Say has been played over 41 million times on MySpace and downloaded 2 million times via iTunes . This makes Whatcha Say one of the biggest hits of 2009 in the USA. The song also reached number 3 in the UK charts. His next number one hit single, Turn Up the Music , produced by Fuego for American singer Chris Brown , was presented live at the Grammy Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and the 2012 NBA All-Star Game. The video for the song won the MTV Video Music Award. Later Rihanna's vocal was added to it. In 2012 Fuego received a Grammy nomination.
