Melissa Molinaro

Melissa Molinaro (* 4. June 1982 in Whitby , Ontario as Melissa Ann Smith ) is a Canadian - American actress , singer , dancer and model . She prefers to appear in dance films or series.

Life

In her early childhood, she took part in stage plays and learned ballet. In 1995 the family moved to Rochester Hills , Michigan . When she was 18, she auditioned for the girl group Goddess and became the lead singer and signed to Interscope Records . In the absence of success, Molinaro continued to work on her acting skills. In addition, she received modeling orders.

Career

After the first band project failed, she took part in the MTV casting show Making The Band 3 . She narrowly missed joining the girl group Danity Kane . Also in the casting show The Search For The Next Pussycat Doll , she narrowly missed her entry into the final band. However, she caught the attention of Rex Rideout, with whom she jointly released the single I Believed . The album Soul By The Pound followed in the same year .

In 2002 she starred in the television movie Prep , in High Crimes and in Journey of Redemption under her real name. She had a role on an episode of the sitcom No Mercy for Dad and played a supporting role in the short film Destiny's Child . In 2004 she had two smaller casts in the television series Happy Family and the film The Hillz a recurring role in the soap opera Shadow of Passion . This was followed by casts in an episode of the Rodney series and in the short film Balance , a leading role alongside Dolph Lundgren in Command Performance in 2009 and brief appearances in Brothers , How I Met Your Mother and in the film Balls to the Wall . She played Carla in the 2011 dance film Honey 2 - Let No Move Off . In 2012 she stood in front of the camera for an episode of The Game and the television film Jersey Shore Shark Attack .

She received media coverage in the fall of 2012 through a photo shoot by the clothing brand "Old Navy" and the accusation by Kim Kardashian that the fashion company had deliberately hired a model with a certain resemblance to Kardashian. Between 2013 and 2014, she appeared in three episodes of the Hit the Floor series. This was followed by casts for an episode of Second Generation Wayans , in the film School Dance and the series Franklin & Bash, and in 2015 in Street .
