Fynn Holpert (born January 11, 1967 in Flensburg ) is a former German handball player and handball official .

Career

As a player

Holpert played at TSB Flensburg from 1982 . In 1985 the 1.98 meter tall goalkeeper switched to THW Kiel , which he left in 1989 and joined TBV Lemgo . After he stood between the posts at TV Niederwürzbach in the 1991/92 season , Holpert then played for the second division club TuS Nettelstedt . In 1994 he returned to Lemgo and subsequently won the DHB Cup with the TBV in 1995 and 1997 , the European Cup Winners ' Cup in 1996 , and the German Championship and the DHB Supercup in 1997 .

Holpert played nine junior and eleven youth international matches. He made his debut in the German senior national team , for which he played seven times, on November 21, 1989 against the GDR national team .

As a functionary

In 1998 Holpert ended his playing career and moved to the management of TBV Lemgo. In the following years the team won the DHB Supercup (1999, 2002, 2003), the DHB Cup ( 2002 ) and in 2006 the EHF Cup . From 2007 to 2009 Holpert was the manager of SG Flensburg-Handewitt . He then worked for Heristo AG , the main sponsor of TBV Lemgo at the time. From February 2011 he was again managing director of the TBV together with the longtime Lemgo player Volker Zerbe . When Holpert was investigated in connection with a real estate deal in 2012 on suspicion of attempted fraud and forgery of documents, he resigned from his position as managing director of TBV Lemgo. In May 2013, the investigation into proven innocence ended with an acquittal.

Private

The trained banker is married and has a daughter. His brother Jan Holpert also played in the Bundesliga.
