Gökalp Solak (born November 16, 1994 in Ankara ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has played in the team of Koç Üniversitesi in the second Turkish league since 2013 .

Career

Gökalp Solak began his career as a hockey player with Başkent Yıldızları SK in his hometown of Ankara , for which he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2009/10 season . In 2010 he switched to local competitor Ankara Üniversitesi SK , which he left after one to return to his home club. With Başkent he won the Turkish title in 2012 and 2013 . He then moved to the team of Koç Üniversitesi in Istanbul , for which he is on the ice in the second Turkish league.

International

For Turkey, Solak competed in the junior division in Division III at the U18 World Championships in 2010 , when he was the tournament's best assist provider, and in 2011 , when he was voted best player on his team, as well as the 2010 , 2011 , 2012 U20 World Championships , In 2013 , when he was the third top scorer of the tournament after the Bulgarian Ivan Chodulow and the Chinese Xia Tianxiang and consequently was again named the best player of the team from the Bosporus, and in 2014 .

The striker played with the men's national team at the World Championships in Division II in 2013 and 2014 and in the World Championships in Division III in 2012 , 2015 and 2016 .
