Gabriela Capová comes from the Moravian-Silesian center Ostrava and starts for the local ski club. At the age of 15 she competed in her first FIS races in Špindlerův Mlýn . In February 2011 she took part in the Junior World Championships in Crans-Montana and finished 35th and 39th in slalom and giant slalom. In her second JWM participation a year later at Mont Sainte-Anne , she was eliminated in both races, in 2014 in Jasná she finished 26th and 45th. She made her European Cup debut in February 2013 in the San Candido slalom and reached the next Season their first points. At the Universiade in Pozza di Fassa , she did not get beyond a 35th place in the giant slalom.
On January 4, 2015, she made her World Cup debut in the slalom in Zagreb and from then on occasionally competed in World Cup slaloms. At the World Championships in Vail / Beaver Creek , she was 55th in giant slalom, in slalom she did not finish. At the 2017 World Championships in St. Moritz , she improved to 33rd place in the slalom. In the 2017/18 season, she made a small breakthrough. First she won her first World Cup points in the slalom of Kranjska Gora with 19th place and thus qualified for the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang . In the European Cup, she approached the podium for the first time with a fourth place in Melchsee-Frutt . At the games in South Korea, she finished 29th in giant slalom and ninth place with the team , in slalom she was eliminated. At the end of the season she won her first national title in the giant slalom.
