Georg crutch
Georg Krücke (born July 8, 1880 in Limburg an der Lahn , † August 24, 1961 in Wiesbaden ) was a liberal politician ( NLP , DVP , FDP ). He was Lord Mayor of Wiesbaden from 1930–1933 and 1945–1946 .
Krücke was the son of a Protestant pastor. After attending the Humanistic Gymnasium in Wiesbaden, Krücke studied law in Lausanne , Göttingen , Berlin and Marburg from 1898 to 1901 . During his studies he became a member of the AMV Fridericiana Marburg and the AMV Münster . From 1906 he was a lawyer in Limburg, from 1910 in Wiesbaden. Later he was also a notary there .
In 1906 he became a member of the National Liberal Party in Limburg. In 1907 he was elected to the head of the local branch of the party. From 1914 to 1930 he was a member of the Wiesbaden city council ( DVP ), from 1919 he was chairman of the DVP parliamentary group and from 1928 to 1930 deputy head of the city council . In 1920 he was elected to the Nassau municipal parliament and a member of the state committee.
From March 28, 1930, Krücke was Lord Mayor of Wiesbaden; from this office, he retired after the seizure of power of the Nazis on June 3 of 1933 "due to contractual agreement". From April 21, 1945 to August 11, 1946 he was again the Lord Mayor of Wiesbaden, from 1946 to 1950 he was head of the Office for Asset Control and Reparation . In 1952 he was appointed to the honorary city council.

- In the local district Wiesbaden-Rheingauviertel is George Crutch street named after him.
