George Kink (born August 26, 1982 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German ice hockey player who was under contract with ERC Sonthofen in the major league until 2017 . He is the son of the former professional ice hockey player Georg Kink .
Career
Kink played in the German youth league until 2000 . In the 2000/01 season Kink made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga at SC Riessersee and finally moved to EC Peiting in the Oberliga at the beginning of the 2002/03 season . After two strong seasons at EC Peiting, the striker signed a contract with EHC Munich , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2004/05 season . After two years at EHC Munich, Kink moved back to his hometown club SC Riessersee for the 2006/07 season, with whom he made promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga that same season. In 2011, Kink applied for the position of the 14th striker at EHC Munich. First of all, a training camp including a screening of all players selected for this position was planned. But all but Kink jumped off, which is why he could recommend himself out of competition. He has been under contract with EHC Munich from the DEL since August 2011. From 2012 Kink had a contract with the top division club EC Peiting, but was only able to play 20 games because he injured his syndesmosis ligament in a game against Selber Wölfe in January 2013 .
At the beginning of April 2013 it was announced that Kink was the first signing of SC Riessersee for the 2013/14 season , after negotiations between the two parties for the 2012/13 season had failed the year before . After the season, however, he received no contract extension and left the club. He then signed with EV Füssen in the major league . After EV Füssen went bankrupt after the season, he moved to ERC Sonthofen .
