George Mooradian

George Mooradian is an American cinematographer who has worked primarily on B-films .

Life

Mooradian began studying economics at the University of Georgia , but then moved to the Art School at Ohio University. He first gained experience in the film business in the 1970s in various positions. He started out as a gaffer , then was u. a. responsible for the assistant camera and later worked as a camera operator .

The first film that Mooradian worked as head cameraman is the 1988 crime film Ronald Biggs - Trapped in Rio . Lech Majewski directed the film . In 1991 his second film, Kickboxer 2 - The Champ Returns, followed , which also represented the first cooperation with Albert Pyun . Several joint projects followed, all of them B-films, such as the Nemesis film series. Another director Mooradian has worked with on a number of films is Louis Morneau .

The 2005 staged The Circle was filmed by Mooradian according to own information in a single complete recording.

Since 2004 he has mainly worked for various television series. So he was u. a. Involved in 84 episodes of Jim Again and again from 2004 to 2009 . For this work he was nominated four times for an Emmy during this time . In 2013, 2014 and 2016 one further nomination followed.

Mooradian is married with four children.
