The judicial district of Bregenz is the local jurisdiction of the Bregenz district court in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg .

The seat of the district court is in the Vorarlberg state capital Bregenz . Thus, the judicial district of Bregenz is one of two judicial districts in the political district of Bregenz and one of five judicial districts in the state of Vorarlberg. The Feldkirch Regional Court acts as the higher-level court .

The court districts in Vorarlberg were allocated with the ordinance of the federal government of January 19, 1971 on the districts of the district courts located in Vorarlberg in Federal Law Gazette No. 33/1971. The judicial district of Bregenz was specified in Section 3.

The judicial district extends to those communities in the Bregenz district that do not belong to the Bezau judicial district . These include in particular the communities in the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley and Leiblachtal . In addition, the communities Alberschwende , Doren , Riefensberg and Sulzberg from the Bregenzerwald region also belong to the judicial district of Bregenz.
