Daniel Gottschalk

Daniel Gottschalk (born December 7, 1972 in Saarbrücken , Saarland ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Daniel Gottschalk studied from 1995 to 2000 at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy . He began his filmmaking activity as a cameraman in short films. One of his first works was REC Cassette Boys / Cassette Girls by Marco Kreuzpaintner , with whom he subsequently worked several times, for example in 2003 in their first film drama Ganz und absolut . Gottschalk also stood behind the camera in Kreuzpaintner's summer storm and was nominated for the German Film Prize in 2008 for his work in the Thriller Trade , as well as in 2012 for The Fourth Power (director Dennis Gansel ) in the Best Cinematography and Image Creation category . The two also worked together on the film adaptation of Krabat (based on a novel by Otfried Preussler for young people ).

In addition to his work for screen films, Gottschalk also works as a cameraman for commercials (for example for McDonald’s , Naturwohl Pharma or Nike ) and music video clips , such as in Rammstein's Links 2-3-4 , Mein Teil and Mein Herz brennt .
