The Bezau judicial district is the local jurisdiction of the Bezau district court in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg .

The seat of the district court is in the capital of the Bregenzerwald region, the market town of Bezau . Thus, the judicial district Bezau is one of two judicial districts in the political district of Bregenz and one of five judicial districts in the state of Vorarlberg. The Feldkirch Regional Court acts as the higher-level court .

The court districts in Vorarlberg were allocated with the ordinance of the federal government of January 19, 1971 on the districts of the district courts located in Vorarlberg in Federal Law Gazette No. 33/1971. The Bezau judicial district was specified in Section 1.

Local jurisdiction

The judicial district extends to almost all communities in the Bregenzerwald region with the exception of the communities Alberschwende , Doren , Riefensberg and Sulzberg, which belong to the judicial district of Bregenz . In addition, the community of Mittelberg in Kleinwalsertal belongs to the Bezau judicial district.
