Gianluca Capitano

Gianluca Capitano (born August 4, 1971 in Chieti ) is a former Italian track cyclist and two-time world champion.

In 1988 Gianluca Capitano was junior runner-up in sprinting , and the following year he won the world title. In 1990 and 1992 he became world champion in tandem races , together with Federico Paris . In 1996 he started at the Olympic Games in Atlanta ; In the sprint he was eliminated in the second lap, in the 1000 meter time trial he finished 15th.
