Gil , real name Carlos Gilberto Nascimento Silva (born June 12, 1987 in Campos dos Goytacazes ), is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

society

His professional career in 2004 with third division club Americano FC (RJ) in his hometown of Campos dos Goytacazes Alisson. After signing two first division clubs from Brazil, the player went to the French second division club Valenciennes FC in 2011. Here the player could not assert himself decisively and went back to Brazil in 2013. With his new club Corinthians from São Paulo he achieved his greatest success to date, when he won the Recopa Sudamericana .

At the beginning of 2016, Gil moved to Shandong Luneng Taishan in China for a transfer fee of 75 million real . Gil played his first competitive game for Shandong in the AFC Champions League . On February 2, 2016, his club faced Mohun Bagan AC at home in the second qualifying round of the 2016 season . In the 6-0 win he was in the starting line-up. Gil played his first game in the Chinese Super League on March 5, 2016, the first day of the 2016 championship . He also scored his first competitive goal for Shandong in the Super League. In the 2017 season on March 10, 2017, the second match day, he scored in the 55th minute against Guangzhou Evergrande to equalize 1: 1 (final score 2: 1).

In early July 2019, it was announced that Gil was going back to Corinthians.

After the 2014 World Cup, which was disappointing for Brazil , coach Dunga was supposed to build a new team. In addition to many other new players, Gil was also nominated for the first time for Brazil's senior team.
