To relieve Vera and Elfie, Ilka hires the quick-witted Renée Broschek ( Anette Hellwig ) as a data typist in her new role as deputy director . The peace in the writing pool, however, is short-lived. The new addition immediately made itself unpopular with her colleagues. Meanwhile, there is a scandal between Ilka and Nicole: While Nicole is pushing for approval of the vacation for her already booked honeymoon , Ilka forbids her new assistant to take the unannounced vacation. Nicole, plagued by marital problems and an anonymous caller, is forced to send her husband Thorsten on their honeymoon without her . After eating together with the depressed Saalbach, she apparently returns to her apartment alone. A little later, Marie and Ronaldo find her dead there.

Almost the entire workforce of the Hansson Hotel attended Nicole's funeral. Only Ronaldo apologizes - Ursula's death continues to burden him very much. Because of this, there is an argument between him and Marie. Meanwhile, in the hotel, the criminal police are trying to solve the murder case. Ms. Stade confesses to having seen Daniela, Saalbach and Nicole at dinner together on the night of the murder. Daniela then reaches for the bottle, stunned. While Saalbach had to face the suspicions of the Kripo a little later, Marie and Ilka, eaten up by allegations, finally tracked down the actual murderer: It is the same man who was already harassing Ilka after losing her handbag.

The internationally celebrated actor Michael Crossing stays at the Hansson Hotel and keeps the hotel staff on their toes with his special requests. Ilka has meanwhile started work on the country hotel project initiated by Marie. The fact that she does not involve her in the planning, however, annoys Marie very much and leads to another argument between Ronaldo and her. In addition, at the request of her mother, Marie should get an autograph from the superstar who lives in the hotel for the sick granddaughter of her good friend Hannelore Hollwinkel ( Corinna Genest ) from Hitzacker. When she shows up in his hotel room despite an express ban and Crossing leaves immediately, she causes a scandal not only in the hotel, but also in the media. - The Hamburg investigator duo Uli Fichte ( Dieter Landuris ) and Dr. Frieder Tamm ( Stefan Reck ) from the then current ProSieben series Everything Except Murder has a brief cameo in a scene in front of the hospital.

The responsible officer Hein Meier ( Rolf Nagel ) also indignantly rejects Ilka's attempt at bribery . In the writing pool, the newcomer Stefan Ahlbaum ( Benjamin Sadler ), offspring of a wealthy plastics manufacturer, is increasingly liking Renée.

The difficulties involved in building the country hotel raise doubts among CEO Bill Hansson: angry about the immense costs of the project, he questions Ronaldo's position and Ilka's promotion. When he learns that his daughter is working there, he tries to pronounce it, but Ilka cannot forget that he abandoned the family 30 years ago and emigrated to America. When she finally found out about his cancer, Ilka had doubts about her attitude towards him. The hostilities between Elfie and Renée have meanwhile led to open war in the writing pool. When Elfie is finally asked about the efficiency of her department after Renée's criticism at Ilka, she feels offended. During a fun evening through St. Pauli , Marie, Vera, Renée, Albert and Ben accidentally discover Elfie performing as a singer in a nightclub.

Ilka decides to go on one last trip through Europe with her terminally ill father. Hansson, who is not satisfied with the occupancy of his hotel, names his young and ambitious junior manager Holger von Winkler ( Martin Armknecht ) as his temporary substitute. When the meanwhile skeptical CEO also wants to inspect the country hotel in Hitzacker, Ronaldo takes Marie to duty. However, this can confidently dispel Hansson's concerns about her project draft. The next day, Marie suddenly had a bad premonition: A little later she found her father in the ditch - he had a heart attack . Ms. Stade feels pressured by the advances made by personnel manager Begemann. After an evening together in a dance club, the situation escalates: She asks Ronaldo for help.

Marie worries about father Erich: He is in the intensive care unit after his heart attack. After suffering a second heart attack, she leaves everything in Hamburg to support her mother in Hitzacker. When she refuses Ronaldo's request to return, a heated argument ensues. He then summons Ms. Stade back to the management office. In the writing pool, however, Reneé continues to play an evil game with Elfie: She manipulates both Elfie's computer and her index cards and thus erases weeks of work. Only IT expert Albert can help his desperate girlfriend. Meanwhile, Stefan finally gives in to Reneé's advances: The two of them use the lunch break for a lazy hour in the hotel, but do not go undetected.

There is still a thick air between Marie and Ronaldo: They now sleep in separate beds. Ronaldo wants to reconcile himself soon, but Marie remains adamant. The young Henry Horn ( Fabian Busch ) from Hitzacker is celebrating his first week at work as an apprentice in the kitchen of the Hansson Hotel through Marie's mediation. Chef Rumpelmayer ( Jürgen Janza ) gives the newcomer a frosty welcome and treats him excessively harshly. When it comes to a serious accident, Ronaldo has to intervene. Saalbach appears surprisingly in the hotel. After talking to Ronaldo, he finds Daniela drunk on the floor of the personnel office.

Mr. von Winkler uses Ronaldo's business trip to Stockholm to implement his own ideas in the Hansson Hotel: he wants to increase the occupancy of all rooms with a large-scale advertising campaign, whereby the guests can determine the overnight price themselves. However, the idiosyncratic plan backfires: The cost-intensive campaign then attracts an illustrious clientele to the hotel. The pregnant Marie suddenly had severe abdominal pain: She lost her child in the eleventh week. Ms. Stade, of all people, stands by her in this difficult situation and sensitively cares for Marie, who is destroyed on the ground. Meanwhile, Stefan reveals that Reneé is only pretending to be from a rich family. He himself admits that he is only in Hamburg because of his sister Stefanie ( Johanna Klante ) who is addicted to heroin .

After her trip to Europe, Ilka returns to the Hansson with her terminally ill father Alexander. The relationship between her and Marie remains tense. Meanwhile, Marie finds a close confidante in Ms. Stade: Ms. Stade tells her about her unhappy love for CEO Bill Hansson. Meanwhile, Alexander's condition deteriorates abruptly and he dies a little later in Ilka's presence. Ilka, who inherits a beach house on Long Island from him , transfers his corpse to the USA - but Marie does not want to leave her alone despite her disputes and follows without further ado. Elfie, who is afflicted by Reneé's scheming power games, can't believe her luck when she is offered a record deal through Ben's contacts. Vera is also on cloud nine: she and Albert want to get married.

Despite Marie's support, the death of her father Ilka plunges into a deep depression. Unexpectedly, she met and fell in love with the German journalist Zoltan Landauer ( Matthias Zahlbaum ) on Long Island . But the time together is only short: Zoltan has to go back to the Algerian front as a war correspondent . Reneé's behavior towards Elfie creates a bad atmosphere in the writing pool: Vera and Stefan no longer want to accept their behavior. Meanwhile, Elfie sees the salvation in her record deal and hastily decides to quit. Renée, who is now hooking up with Ilka's partner Frank, believes she has reached her goal, but Elfie is horrified to discover that the record producer has ripped her off. Schmolli and barkeeper Renzo (Franz Michael Mühlenbrock) then put this under pressure.

Marie and Ronaldo are back from the USA. Renee Broschek is appointed to Ronaldo. Instead of being promoted, however, she receives a warning because of her bad behavior. At Ronaldo's request, Daniela Holm is undergoing rehab to get rid of alcohol. Ilka separates from her boyfriend Frank, who in turn is already having fun with Renee. The fresh relationship between Ilka and Zoltan is strained by his spontaneous work assignments. Elfie has arranged a hen party for Vera and Albert. Albert leaves the party saying that he wants to buy cigarettes. Then he disappeared. Elfie is hired by Ronaldo to perform at the hotel. Since Marie and Ronaldo go to Hitzacker to work in the country hotel, Ronaldo announces his departure at the hotel.
