The Gmina Zakrzewo is a rural municipality in the powiat Złotowski of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Your seat is the village of the same name ( German Zakrzewo ) with about 1940 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the northeast of the voivodeship and borders in the east on the Powiat Sępoleński of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship . The voivodeship capital Poznan is about 120 kilometers south, Bydgoszcz (Bromberg) about 50 kilometers southeast and the district town of Złotów (Flatow) three kilometers west. Neighboring municipalities are the municipalities of Lipka in the north, Więcbork in the northeast and Złotów in the southeast, south and west.
The Głomia (Glumia) , a tributary of the Gwda (Küddow) , is one of the rivers . There are a number of lakes in the municipality, including the 2.1 km² Borówno.
The community has an area of 162.5 km², 46 percent of which is used for agriculture and 46 percent for forestry.
history
From 1920 to 1939 the border between the German German Empire and the Second Polish Republic , the so-called “ Polish Corridor ” , ran along the eastern border of the municipality . The German part of the population was expelled after the Second World War .
From 1945 to 1975, the current municipal area belonged to the Poznan Voivodeship with different layouts. The rural community of Zakrzewo was formed in 1945, dissolved in 1954 and transformed into Gromadas . It was restored on January 1, 1973. From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Piła Voivodeship . The powiat was dissolved during this time. Since 1999 this has belonged to the Greater Poland Voivodeship and to the re-established Powiat Złotowski.

traffic
The voivodeship road DW188 leads from Piła (Schneidemühl) via the district town of Złotów (Flatow) to Człuchów (Schlochau) in the northeast. The DW189 serves the southern part of the municipality with the places Śmiardowo Złotowskie (Schmirdau) and Kujan. It leads through the district town to Jastrowie (Jastrow) in the west and to the neighboring town of Więcbork (Vandsburg) in the east.
On the PKP route 426 from Piła (Schneidemühl) to Tczew (Dirschau) there is the Zakrzewo Złotowskie stop in the main town - the former Zakrzewo station ( 1929–1945 Buschdorf (Kr. Flatow) ) on the " Prussian Eastern Railway ", Berlin connected with Königsberg (Prussia) , but has lost its former importance today.
The nearest international airport is Bydgoszcz .
