Golineh Atai
Golineh Atai ( * 8. December 1974 in Tehran ) is a German television - correspondent . She made a name for herself in particular as an expert on Russia.
Life
At the age of five, Atai moved with her parents from Iran to Germany and grew up in Hoffenheim . After graduating from the Wilhelmi-Gymnasium in Sinsheim , she completed her studies at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg (1993 to 2000) with a master's degree in Romance studies , political science and Iranian studies and then became a journalist . From 2006 to 2008 she worked as a correspondent for ARD in Cairo . From 2010 to 2011 Atai was an editor at ARD-Morgenmagazin . From December 2011 she worked as an editor and reporter at the Tagesschau for the WDR in Cologne . From February 2013 to summer 2018 she worked as a correspondent for ARD in Moscow . During Euromaidan in Ukraine , Atai reported from Kiev for ARD. In an article for Weltspiegel , she documented the manipulative practices of Russian and Ukrainian television stations. In the summer of 2018 Atai returned to the WDR's Tagesschau editorial team. In 2019 she published her book The Truth is the Enemy at Rowohlt Verlag . Why Russia is so different .
