Grégoire Demoustier

Grégoire Demoustier (born January 26, 1991 in Villeneuve-d'Ascq ) is a French racing driver . He started in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in 2015 .

Career

Demoustier began his motorsport career in GT racing in 2008 . He first started in the THS Spider Cup and the MitJet Series . In 2009 Demoustier switched to formula racing and started for Räikkönen Robertson Racing in the European Formula BMW . He left the season finale and was 22nd in the drivers' championship. In addition, he took part in a racing weekend for the Western European Formula Renault .

2010 Demoustier returned to GT racing and came 21st in the French GT championship . In addition, he took part in four events of the FIA GT3 European Championship . In 2011 Demoustier was active in both formula and GT racing. For Tech 1 Racing , he competed in some Alpine Formula Renault races and in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . He also completed test drives in the GP3 series . In GT racing , Demoustier took part in four of six events in the FIA ​​GT3 European Championship for Graff Racing in 2011 . He finished a race with Mike Parisy in third place. In the European Championship he was 18. He also went to a race in the Blancpain Endurance Series at the start. In 2012 Demoustier received a cockpit from Hexis Racing , who worked with McLaren , in the FIA GT1 World Championship . Demoustier also drove for the ART Grand Prix in the Blancpain Endurance Series and once won the Pro-Am class together with Duncan Tappy , which they finished in fifth place. He also took part in the French GT championship again and finished 13th overall with two victories. In 2013 Demoustier competed for the ART Grand Prix in the Blancpain Endurance Series. In 2015 Demoustier switched to touring car racing to Craft Bamboo in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). With a ninth place as the best result, he was 20th in the drivers' world championship.
