World Touring Car Championship 2015

The World Touring Car Championship in 2015 (officially FIA World Touring Car Championship in 2015 , shortly WTCC) is the twelfth season of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and the eleventh since the resumption of the series of 2005.

Racing calendar

The racing calendar comprised 12 events with two races each. The Race of Austria in Salzburg , the Race of Belgium in Spa-Francorchamps , the Race of China in Beijing and the Guia Race of Macau in Macau were canceled and replaced by the Race of Germany on the Nürburgring , the Race of Portugal in Vila Real , replaced the Race of Qatar in Doha and the Race of Thailand in Buriram . The race in Suzuka switched to Motegi .

World championship stands

Driver ranking

The driver who accumulated the most points in the driver standings by the end of the season became world champion. When distributing points for the drivers' classification, the placements in the overall result of the respective race were taken into account. The top ten drivers in each race received points according to the following scheme:

In addition, points were awarded to the first five pilots for qualifying according to the 5-4-3-2-1 scheme.
