history
Bornholm Express
The ferry was designed by WaveMaster International in Henderson, Australia . The contract to build the ship was signed on May 26, 2004. The ferry, built by WaveMaster International, was due to be delivered on April 1, 2005. Due to the bankruptcy of the shipyard in November 2004, there were delays in construction. The Damen Shipyards Group was commissioned to continue building the ferry and completed the ship on February 26, 2006 at its shipyard in Singapore . Then it was shipped to Copenhagen . On April 28, 2006 the ferry was delivered to the shipping company Christiansøfarten.
Christiansøfarten used the ship under the flag of Denmark in ferry traffic between Allinge on Bornholm and Simrishamn in Sweden and between Allinge and Christiansø. It also served as a mail ship . After Post Danmark terminated the contract with the shipping company in 2013, the ship was sold and the connection through Christiansøfarten was discontinued.
Granville
At the end of April 2014 the ship was transferred to France. The ferry is used by the Manche îles Express as Granville (named after the city in Normandy ) under the French flag. It connects mainland France with the United Kingdom's Channel Islands.
