The Grass Ski World Cup in Marbach has been part of the Grass Ski World Cup since the 2007 season . It is organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS). The races take place on the Marbachegg slope.
history
The Grasskiclub Escholzmatt-Marbach gained its first experience in grass skiing in the years 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2006 with the FIS races. In 2007, the club held World Cup races for the first time. In the 2008 season, the World Cup slalom in Hochstuckli was relocated to Marbach because the piste was so wet due to prolonged rainfall that it was no longer passable. For financial reasons there was no World Cup race in the 2010 season. In 2011 a World Cup and an FIS race were held for cost reasons. In 2012 the Super-G for women and men was canceled due to fog. In 2013 the World Cup final took place for the first time.
