geography

course

The Grenzaa rises in Germany , in Lower Saxony , southeast of Twist in the Dalum-Wietmarscher Moor under the name Twister Aa and flows from there first through Twist. Then it runs west, directly on the German-Dutch border towards Coevorden , a small town in the Netherlands . Shortly before the city area it flows into the Coevorden-Piccardie Canal . This is connected to the Vechte by the Coevorden- Vecht Canal.

In the Netherlands this river is called the Schoonebeker Diep .
