Great floodplain lake
The Große Aue-See nature reserve is located in the town of Espelkamp in the Minden-Lübbecke district . It is around 27.8 hectares and is listed under the designation MI-025.
It is located west of the city of Espelkamp and south of state road 770 directly on the Great Aue .
meaning
The protection is given because of the rarity and special nature of the area and for the preservation and restoration of communities as a refuge for threatened and endangered wild animal and plant species .
