Sun angle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The corner of the sun presents itself, as here immediately south of the hospital, as a deciduous forest rich in undergrowth. In addition to beeches, maple and oak are particularly common.

The Sonnenwinkel nature reserve is located in the town of Lübbecke in the Minden-Lübbecke district . It is around 4.7  hectares and is listed under the designation MI-030.

It is located southwest of Lübbecke on the northern edge of the Wiehen Mountains . The nature reserve borders the Lübbecke hospital .

meaning

The wild garlic population, which covers almost the entire forest floor from spring to early summer, is characteristic of the Sonnenwinkel.

The protection is given because of the rarity and special nature of the area and for the preservation and restoration of communities as a refuge for threatened and endangered wild animal and plant species .

The herbaceous beech forest with wild garlic , high cowslip , hollow larkspur , black devil's claw and woodruff, as well as lungwort and bingelkweed is particularly to be protected .

The Sonnenwinkel is used by locals and experts in early spring to harvest the leaves of the wild garlic, which then covers a large part of the forest floor. Harvesting and leaving the marked paths are, however, administrative offenses , but are in fact not punished, as it is almost impossible to prove this illegal behavior, as wild garlic also grows outside the actual nature reserve.
