Freimoor
The Freimoor nature reserve is located in the town of Espelkamp in the Minden-Lübbecke district . It is around 1.6 hectares and is listed under the name MI-013.
It is located south of the Frotheim settlement in the village of Isenstedt directly on the Mittelland Canal .
meaning
It was placed under protection because the area is ornithologically valuable for bird species typical of wetlands and for rare plant communities. In particular, the Rasen-Großseggenried should be mentioned here.
Only separated by the Mittelland Canal, the Freimoor is networked with the Großes Torfmoor nature reserve .
