The Filger Bruch is a former nature reserve in the area of the town of Rahden in the Minden-Lübbecke district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The area covered 36.8  hectares and was listed under the designation MI-009. This designation was introduced and used for nature reserves in the Minden-Lübbecke district. Today the area has been de-dedicated and there is a plan for wind turbines .

location

The area is located on the north-western edge of the village of Wehe , north of the village and west of the Kleine Aue , which flows into the Große Aue approx. 2.5 km north of the area .

meaning

It was placed under protection because of the rarity and special character of the area and to maintain and restore communities as a refuge for threatened and endangered wild animal and plant species . The city of Rahden later lifted this protection, although the areas and the surrounding area are still designated as areas for the protection of nature (BSN) in the regional plan. Wind power plants are to be planned there. In 2013, seven planning-relevant resting and guest bird species as well as 14 planning-relevant breeding bird species were identified in three designated priority areas in the immediate vicinity of the former nature reserve . Breeding bird species to be emphasized are partridge , hawk , buzzard , lapwing , cuckoo , skylark , barn swallow and tree sparrow .
