As the Grand Prix of Tuscany , a race for the Formula 1 World Championship will take place in 2020 at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello in the Italian municipality of Scarperia e San Piero .

history

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic , various races of the 2020 Formula 1 World Championship have been canceled or postponed. On July 10, 2020, the provisional racing calendar, which was published on June 2, 2020 and which initially included eight races on the European continent, was supplemented by two more races - the Tuscan Grand Prix and the Russian Grand Prix .

Since it per season only one each Grand Prix can give each country, the race at Mugello is Grand Prix of Tuscany called because a week earlier to in Monza the Italian Grand Prix take place. The race in Mugello is said to be the 1000th Formula 1 race of Scuderia Ferrari . It will also be the first automobile Grand Prix on this track, after the Italian Grand Prix for motorcycles has been held there since 1992 .
