The greater Sarajevo area ( Bosnian Sarajevska Metropolitanska regija ) includes the area of ​​the Bosnian capital Sarajevo and its suburbs.

The Sarajevo metropolitan area is economically the strongest region of Bosnia and Herzegovina and generates more than 45% of the national gross domestic product .
