Gručovice (German Groitsch ) is a district of the minor town Březová in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers north of Fulnek and belongs to the Okres Opava .

geography

Gručovice is located in the basin of a right tributary to Gručovka in the Vítkovská vrchovina ( Wigstadtler Berge ). In the northeast rises the Příčnice (506 m nm), southwest the Vrchy (540 m nm), in the west of the Tršlovec (531 m nm) and northwest of the Na Koutech (533 m nm). The state road I / 57 runs west of the village between Hradec nad Moravicí and Fulnek . The Moravice Nature Park extends to the northwest and the Oderské vrchy Nature Park to the south.

Neighboring towns are Březová , Lesní Albrechtice and Bleška in the north, Leskovec in the Northeast, Požaha , Ohrada, Stará Ves and Horni Novy Dvur in the east, Dolní Novy Dvur, Bravinné and Lukavec in the southeast, Vrchy in the south, Dolejší Kunčice and Jančí in the southwest, Větřkovice in the west and Dršlovec and Jelenice in the north-west.

history

The forest hoof village of Gručovice is probably the foundation of the Benedictine Březová ( Briesau ) priestly . After the destruction of the provost house by the Hussites in 1427, the property of the provost house was divided between the lords of Grätz and Fulnek , with Gručovice coming to Fulnek. The village was first mentioned in a document in 1450.

In 1835, the in was Prerauer circle on the trade route to Opava village located Groitsch or Gruitschowice of 23 houses, where 159 people lived. There was a windmill to the southeast above the village. The main sources of income were agriculture and animal husbandry. The parish and school location was Briese in the Duchy of Upper and Lower Silesia . Until the middle of the 19th century, Groitsch remained subject to the allodial rule of Fulnek.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Gručovice / Groitsch 1849 a district of the municipality Valteřovice / Waltersdorf in the judicial district of Fulnek . From 1869 Groitsch belonged to the Neutitschein district. At that time the village had 239 inhabitants and consisted of 33 houses. In 1900 there were 225 people in Groitsch, compared to 235 in 1910. In 1907 Groitsch broke away from Waltersdorf and formed its own community. In 1930 Groitsch consisted of 36 houses and had 244 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement the village was assigned to the German Reich in 1938 . In 1939 there were 216 people in the community. Until 1945 Groitsch belonged to the Neu Titschein district . After the end of the Second World War, the village came back to Czechoslovakia and the German population was expelled . 1949 Gručovice was assigned to the newly formed Okres Vítkov. In 1950 the village had only 138 inhabitants. Since the territorial reform of 1960, Gručovice has belonged to the Okres Opava . On January 1, 1977 Gručovice was incorporated into Březová. In the 2001 census, 99 people lived in the 39 houses in Gručovice.
