Before the 2015 territorial reform, Guenu Lai had an area of 9.46 km². Now there are 11.42 km². The Suco lies to the east of the Cailaco administrative office. In the north is the Suco Dau Udo , southwest Meligo and south Goulolo . To the east are the administrative offices of Hatulia with its Suco Leimea-Craic and Atsabe with its Suco Laubono (municipality of Ermera ). The river Aimera flows along part of the border with Goulolo and, like a river that flows along the northern border, finally flows into the Marobo , the eastern border river. The Suco is not well connected in terms of traffic. For the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 , the ballot boxes had to be brought to the polling station by helicopter.
In the center of Sucos is the place Tirimoso ( Tirimos ), north of it the places Waudu , Biaboro ( Bia Boro ) and Tegal . In this settlement center there is a medical post, a helipad for emergencies and a primary school, the Escola Primaria Guenu Lai . Some sources indicate that the four villages are around the town of Cailaco ( 8 ° 54 ′ S , 125 ° 17 ′ E ). According to this, Cailaco is said to be at an altitude of 442 m above sea level (see Cailaco ). To the south is the village of Batuubu , to the southwest, Melemaga .
In the Suco are the three Aldeias Biaboro , Melemaga and Tirimoso .
