The Guggenberg is 697  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the main ridge of the Hausruck and Kobernaußerwald train between Innviertel and Traunviertel in Upper Austria .

Location and landscape

The summit is located in the municipality of Frankenburg am Hausruck , on the south side ( Vöcklatal ), just on the border with Pramet on the north side of the ridge ( Innviertler Hügelland ). In the profile of the ridge it is hardly visible.

The Oberach rises on the northern slope above Altsommerau , a tributary of the Antiesen in the catchment area of ​​the lower Inn . The southern side is drained by the Frankenburger Redlbach (Steininger Bach - Edter Bach in the west near Hintersteining , Haselbach - Perschlinger Bach in the southeast near Unterfeitzing ), which flows into the Traun via Vöckla - Ager .

To the west, Frankenburger Strasse  (L509) passes Ried - Vöcklamarkt

Development

The mountain is on the Hausruck-Höhenweg ( Hausruck-Kobernaußerwald-Weitwanderweg  HKWW / 10HK Haag - Mattighofen , part of the Rupertiweg / E10 ), which is also a mountain bike route.
