Guillaume Boivin (born May 25, 1989 in Montreal ) is a Canadian track and road cyclist .
career
Guillaume Boivin was Canadian junior team sprint champion in 2007 and won on the road, he won two stages of the Tour de l'Abitibi . In the adult category, he won the overall ranking and a stage in the Tour du Quebec , a tour of the Canadian cycling calendar in 2008 . In 2009 he was the Canadian U23 road champion.
From 2010 to 2012 he rode for the Canadian cycling team SpiderTech-C10 , which initially held a license as a Continental Team and then from 2011 as a Professional Continental Team . In 2011 he won one stage of the Vuelta a Cuba and two stages of the Mi-Août Bretonne . He finished third in the U23 road race at the 2011 Road World Championships .
After the SpiderTech team dissolved, he joined the Italian ProTeam Cannondale Pro Cycling in 2013 and won a stage with this team, a stage of the Tour de Beauce , in his first year . He played for the team twice in the Vuelta a España , which he finished in 2013 as 149th.
In 2015 he moved to the US Continental Team Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies and became Canadian elite road champion.
